Method
- Mix the flour, salt and sugar together. Add the Anchor Instant Yeast and mix.
- Add enough lukewarm water to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough well until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough on a lightly floured surface, cover with greased plastic and leave to rest for 5 minutes.
- Knock the dough down, divide into 2 equal pieces and roll out or press out, to fit into the greased pans.
- Cover the pans with greased plastic and leave to rest and rise in a warm place for about 10 – 25 minutes.
- Knock the dough down, cover once again and allow to rise in a warm place for 20 – 25 minutes.
- Add toppings of choice and then sprinkle evenly with grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 230 ˚C / 450 ˚F for 10 – 12 minutes, until crisp.
- Cut 16 slices, 8 slices from each pan. Should you want to sell a smaller slice, cut smaller.
